This work depicts the Desert Rose (Adenium), a plant commonly found at the entrances of residential homes in Bangkok. In Thailand, placing a Desert Rose by the front door is believed to invite luck, prosperity, and protection. Reflecting this belief, the plant appears frequently at the entrances of homes throughout the city. During my pregnancy, the vivid color of the flower—set against a weathered pot marked by time—naturally drew my attention. Through this contrast, the vitality of the flower became more clearly visible. This work records my everyday life in Bangkok, along with the way my attention came to rest on life itself during that time.
